Well, unfortunately I have to report that 10th gear is still slipping. You'd think that the conditions that would make a gear jump would be perhaps hard pedaling, or pedaling forcefully over bumpy ground, but this issue seems to happen regardless of what I'm doing.
Occasionally it'll be uphill, or over bumps, but it's just as likely to occur when coasting along a flat path at a constant speed with hardly any force. Really annoying. What happens is that the bike will suddenly drop power - which it does when you manually change gears to protect the drive chain - and shift up to a lower gear. As far as I can tell, this only happens in 10th (top) gear.
Could it be that the chain in the highest gear isn't perfectly aligned with the cog? The dealer has offered to take yet another look at the bike to try to solve the problem, even if they have to pick it up. Last time, when I left the bike for a service, the problem was a lot worse, and they solved 99% of it by shortening the chain. I think they removed 3 or 4 links. I might take them up on the offer and get them to take another look at it.
